I purchased this unit for my 5 unit apartment bldg. I had 2 40 gal units plumbed in series/parallel.I replaced a "State" Brand that died after 18 years...yea 18 years, the other unit is at 15 years.This BW 50 gal is doing the trick and is providing hot water for eight persons in five apartments; so far no one has said they have run out of hot water.Seven take showers (not at the same time thank goodness) and one takes a bath. It is performing so well that I took the second State 40 gal offline, and keep it as an emergency back up.
The question is...will this unit last 10+ years?Well see.
